Kosher Outlet is central to North London’s Jewish community, but everyone is welcome. This impressive kosher supermarket was opened in the summer of 2009 as a non-profit business and has become a pillar of the local economy.

Its goal is simple: to offer a wide variety of goods — including groceries, toiletries, household and baby products, meat and poultry — to the kosher consumer at the lowest possible price. The shop was founded in the wake of the financial crisis. As the crash hit incomes across the country, Marc Lerner and a handful of colleagues came together with the aim of creating a cost-price supermarket.
