NET ZERO

Brent Cross Town has an ambition to build a net-zero carbon town. We are addressing embodied and operational carbon emissions across our buildings. The neighbourhood also will benefit from an advanced electric on-site energy network developed in collaboration with Vattenfall, which will supply heating and cooling.

We are aligned with the BarNET zero ambition to be net zero carbon by 2042.

GREENER ENERGY DELIVERED BY HEAT NETWORKS

We are proud to work with Vattenfall, the largest operator of heat networks in Western Europe, and already supplying more than two million customers. Vattenfall will operate the neighbourhood’s energy services company and our partnership will drive our ambition towards net zero carbon at Brent Cross Town.

CLIMATE-CONSCIOUS CONSTRUCTION

Our buildings are being designed for longevity, adaptability and flexibility. 

We will use sustainable urban drainage systems to reduce rainwater runoff, while our tree and plant species will be selected for their robustness.

As part of our commitment to increased biodiversity, we have partnered with London Wildlife Trust to establish a site-wide baseline for ecological richness.
