Gus Bodur, AKA Gussy The Ice Cream Man, has worked as a traditional ice cream seller for more than 35 years and is recognised within the local community for his infectious personality and charitable nature.

Visitors to Claremont Park’s kiosk can expect to find Gussy’s famous ice cream, as well as hot drinks, fruit, warm pastries, and sandwiches made using fresh Italian produce. To keep its carbon footprint as small as possible, the kiosk offers an exclusively vegetarian menu.

Born in Whitechapel in 1963, Gussy has followed in the footsteps of his father, Mr. H Bodur, who began selling ice cream from a stall in Piccadilly Circus where he worked for more than 30 years. After decades of working together, Gussy’s father passed away and he took over the family business with his own ice cream van. Today, Gussy brings many a smile to the faces of visitors to Claremont Park.
