Summer in the Square

The balmy days and luxuriously long evenings of summer have returned to Brent Cross Town – and you can bet we’re celebrating!

Across June, July and August, join us in the sunshine for sizzling street food, live music and creative drop-ins.

Whether you’re enjoying a Saturday date night or bringing the whole family for an afternoon of playful fun, we’ll see you in Neighbourhood Square this summer.

Alfresco street food from around the world

Make the most of the sunshine with a rotating line-up of incredible local food vendors. Join us every Wednesday to Sunday in Neighbourhood Square for a delicious culinary adventure.

Street Food weekly line up:

1 – 5 July:

Fatté – Serving up the vibrant colours and flavours of the Middle East, Fatté has been delighting Londoners for years with decadent shawarma wraps and bowls.

Emerald Eats – Irish-inspired street food, including their signature chicken fillet rolls and loaded fries, founded by Emma as the *only* mobile Irish deli!

8 – 12 July:

Harissa & Lemon – Warm spices, smoky sauces and tender fillings, Harissa & Lemon brings the tantalising tastes of Morocco to Brent Cross Town using seasonal, freshly sourced ingredients.

The Cheese Toaster – Keeping things cheesy since 2019, The Cheese Toaster does what it says on the tin… but think award-winning British cheese, artisan sourdough, and homemade pestos, pickles and slaws.

 

15 – 19 July:

Chicken Bandits – This one’s for the fried-chicken lovers. Expect buttermilk fried-chicken burgers, wings, loaded fries and special sides served fresh, straight from the Bandit Mobile.

Duck Shed – Take your pick between wraps, brioche buns or fresh salad boxes at the Duck Shed, delivering slow-roasted pulled duck (plus vegan alternatives) with their award-winning relishes.

22-25 July:

Baba Dhaba – Delivering vibrant Pakistani street eats, the pair honour traditional family recipes while refining them with a modern touch. They prepare nearly everything in-house, right down to Baba’s famous spicy green chutney.

Ehla – Since 2018, Ehla has been serving London healthy, fresh, and vibrant Eastern Mediterranean food. Founded by Melisa, who infuses family recipes from Northern Cyprus, Ehla offers delicious vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat options, catering to diverse tastes across London and the UK.

Running all summer long until Sunday 30 August

Live music every weekend

Is it really summer without a festival feel in the air? Come down to Neighbourhood Square for our live music sessions and soak up the sounds of summer, from laid-back lunchtime sets to lively evening performances.

From Saturday 25 July to Sunday 30 August, enjoy live music every weekend – Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1pm–2.30pm and again in the early evening from 6pm–8.30pm.

Family-friendly garden games

Gather friends and family and while away a relaxed summer’s day with free lawn games in Neighbourhood Square, including urban boule, chess, bean bag toss and quoits.

'Create' with Samme Snow

London-based artist and illustrator Samme Snow will help you to unleash a little creativity throughout August with his free series of relaxed workshops, Create. Drop in, explore your imaginative side and make your own artworks to take home – all in Neighbourhood Square!

Create and Connect

Meet friends and neighbours at the creative residency kick-off event at a welcoming community art day. Think colouring, drawing and an evolving collaborative artwork created by visitors.

Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 August, 12 – 5pm

Create a Canvas

Grab a blank canvas and experiment with colours and shapes under Samme’s friendly guidance. Take your finished bespoke canvas home to hang on your wall.

A playful workshop focused on imagination and storytelling. Samme will share his step-by-step process to help you design, draw, and name your very own illustrated character.

Canvas Roll Artwork

Make your mark on the final collaborative masterpiece! Help us paint a massive canvas roll that will be gifted to the local estate as a permanent, lasting community artwork.

Samme Snow is a a London-based artist and illustrator with over 14 years of independent practice spanning murals, prints, digital art, and product design. His bold colours and joyful, hand-drawn characters inspire connection and playfulness. Samme specialises in open, highly accessible workshops that invite people of all ages to draw together.
