Summer in the Park

Join us for an incredible series of fun, free events and activities lasting all summer! Inspired by the Paris 2024 Games, our programme includes some of the new challenger sports, like skateboarding and climbing, and we’re running baseball workshops at The 108 for the first time, alongside old favourites basketball, football, yoga for women, table tennis and arts and crafts.  Our new immersive art installation The Maze is on all summer too, with opportunities to watch talented artists create new artwork live on site.

Join us this summer at the basketball court in Claremont Park for skateboarding lessons, designed to empower young people aged 7-15 through skateboarding. The lessons will be run by the Keep Rolling Project, with sessions for first-timers, beginners and girls only. New date –  Sun 1 Sept.

Join us this summer at Claremont Park for skateboarding lessons, designed to empower young people aged 7-15 through skateboarding. The lessons will be run by the Keep Rolling Project, with sessions for first-timers, beginners and girls only.
They offer three exciting sessions:
First Timers: Perfect for those stepping on a board for the first time, focusing on building confidence and basic skills.
Beginners: For those already comfortable with pushing and balancing, aimed at learning new tricks and enhancing skills.
Girls Only: A dedicated session to empower girls and encourage their participation in sports.
During all lessons, participants will have the opportunity to earn the SkateboardGB Cruiser Award, the first nationally recognized award program for first-time skateboarders. Join us to develop new skills, gain confidence, and have fun in a supportive environment.

Join us on the baseball pitch at The 108 this summer and learn new skills whilst having fun! The sessions are 2 hours long and facilitated by experienced baseball coaches. The sessions are free to attend but you need to book your space here.

These sessions are suitable for over 8s — adults are welcome to join in too!

Run by BeLifted, which runs exercise classes aimed at empowering women via mental and physical fitness, these sessions will take place on Saturday mornings.

Suitable for every level, the classes will help with posture, balance and muscle tone and support both your physical and mental wellbeing.

Mats will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own.

Please note, we require all names of attendees at the time of booking. These sessions are an hour long and only suitable for over 16s.

The Maze

Step into a wonderous world of colour and pattern this summer with The Maze, an immersive, joyful installation that will run from 27 June to 29 September, with 3 celebrated female artists adding works to the design on specific days.

Step into a wondrous world of colour and pattern this summer with The Maze, an immersive, joyful installation that will run from 27 June to 29 September, with 3 celebrated female artists adding works to the design on specific days.

Amara Por Dios, whose large-scale artworks can be seen across her native Sweden and in London, Blackpool, New York And San Francisco, created her panel on 27 June. It is now on display as part of the artwork.

Lois O’Hara, a muralist who embraces the positive effects of colour on places and people, will paint her panel on 27 July, 12-5pm

On 10 August, from 12-5pm, East London’s Josephine Hicks, aka Hixxy, will bring her ‘Left-Field Tutti-Fruity’ style collage and printmaking practice to life with the project’s final commission.

Join us on Saturday 14 September, 11am – 4pm at The Maze in Claremont Park when we will be hosting a FREE family art workshop in partnership with Global Street Art as part of London Mural Festival. Come and colour in a mural by Hatch.

The 108, the biggest indoor softball, baseball and padel facility in Europe, is right here in Brent Cross Town.

Discover The 108, London’s first all-weather baseball, softball and padel facility. 

Head there with friends and family to play on one of their six panoramic indoor padel courts or state-of-the-art baseball batting cages. Their American Bar & Grill, café and sports bar are also open to visitors as well as players and there’s a party and events space too. Find out more here.

Run by Just in Carnival, the event will include a host of exciting free activities including carnival constume making, steelpan workshops, carnival dance class, carnival fitness class, face painting, henna and more.

There will also be live performances throughout the afternoon including world-famous steelpan maestro Duvone Stewart, Pan Nation Steel Orchestra, Just InCarnival Dancers, Sega Dancers, Cheri Coco Performers, Poet Tia, a gospel choir and carnival DJs!

The Paris Games will only be the second to feature climbing. You can try this exciting challenger sport for free in Exploratory Park this summer! NEW DATE – SUN 25 AUG – ADDED DUE TO DEMAND

Wall Climbing Workshops

Reach new heights at one of our climbing wall workshops in Exploratory Park. Learn the right technique to scale the wall and discover how much of Brent Cross Town you can see from the top!

Climbing Walls stand 7.5m high and with 15 set routes there is something for both novices and experienced climbers alike. The workshops are led by experienced instructors with all the necessary safety equipment, and offer a great taster experience.

Minimum age is 5 years and adults are welcome to join in too! All participants must wear closed-toe shoes.

No booking required, just turn up on one of the dates between 11am and 4pm.
