Chilean-Swedish artist and designer Amara Por Dios’ vibrant graffiti works punctuate urban environments with eye-popping visual intricacy and attention-grabbing faces and patterns. This summer, we are thrilled to be showcasing ‘Blooming Together’ a new work by the artist as part of The Maze, which just opened in Claremont Park, right here at Brent Cross Town.

Amara’s work is instantly recognisable thanks to its abstract faces, floral motifs and the contagious, feel-good energy of her colour choices.

Located next to the Visitor Pavilion, and just a five-minute walk from the new Brent Cross West station, The Maze is a bright and brilliant art installation that invites visitors to immerse themselves in colours and forms inspired by the New London Fabulous movement. Throughout the summer, we have invited three talented women artists to add their own artworks to The Maze. Amara Por Dios created hers at the launch of The Maze last week, while renowned muralists Lois O’Hara will be painting live on Saturday 27th July, and Jo Hicks on Saturday 10th August — come down on these days to watch as these artworks come to life right before your eyes.

ABOUT AMARA POR DIOS

Cultivating a signature visual style that draws inspiration from mythology and folk art from around the globe, Amara has spent the last decade refining her skills in large-scale mural painting. She explains that she has been interested in art as long as she can remember and relishes the opportunity to work on large scales, “I’ve always been into painting, since I was a kid, and at an early age I was very interested in graffiti. My favourite thing about being an artist is to express myself and paint — big!”
