The Maze: a New Immersive Art Installation

We’re thrilled to present The Maze, a bright and brilliant new immersive art installation located in Claremont Park and open all summer long.

Come and explore this vibrant and joyful artwork, watch it evolve as three celebrated female artists create unique pieces as additions to the work, and add your splash of colour at our family-friendly mural workshop!

Hatch mural Brent Cross Town (Brent Cross Town)

As part of London Mural Festival, the capital’s biggest celebration of street art, renowned illustrator and muralist Hatch will create a black and white mural for The Maze. On 14 September, you’re invited down to Claremont Park to colour it in.

We highly recommend taking one minute to register for the workshop. Walk-ins will be welcomed, but those with an online registration will be prioritised.

Amara Por Dios, whose large-scale artworks can be seen across her native Sweden and in London, Blackpool, New York And San Francisco, will create her panel on 27 June.

Lois O’Hara, a muralist who embraces the positive effects of colour on places and people, will paint her panel on 27 July, 12-4pm

On 10 August, from 12-4pm, East London’s Josephine Hicks, aka Hixxy, will bring her ‘Left-Field Tutti-Fruity’ style collage and printmaking practice to life with the project’s final commission.

The Maze is designed and created in collaboration with experiential events producers MarbleLDN. It has been built with sustainability in mind using a modular design so it can be moved to a new home in Brent Cross Town after September.

"Here we come, here we rise" by Lakwena and IF_DO architects, commissioned by Brent Cross Town to wrap their electricity substation (Brent Cross Town)

We believe in the transformative impact of public art, which is why we have already partnered with five exciting artists since 2021. Other artworks already in the town include Here We Come, Here We Rise, by London-based artist Lakwena and architects IF_DO, which ‘wraps’ around the new electrical substation for the area; Time passes & still I think of you, by Giles Round; a community mural by Annu Kilpeläinen; Rainbow of Ribbons by Hanna Benihoud; and Yesterday, Tomorrow by Steven Wilson. Find out more about them on our Arts Trail.

Come down and lose yourself in a world of colour!

The Maze is open to visitors from 10am-6pm every day.
