Childs Hill & Claremont Primary School Federation*
This primary school federation based in Cricklewood, which serves a very diverse community, has been awarded funding for a project for both of its primary schools.
Claremont School Community Garden Kitchen aims to get local families involved in growing herbs and vegetables – from the planting and nurturing of them, through to seeing them grow, and then discovering how they can use them in cooking dishes for families to eat. This will help with promoting a healthy lifestyle whilst getting families cooking together and having fun.

The funding for Childs Hill School’s Greener Travel Plan will support the project to purchase bikes, cycling helmets and high visibility jackets for children to use to take part in cycling proficiency courses which will give students the confidence and skills to safely cycle to school in an effort to reduce the traffic in the locality and promote cleaner air.

Note
*If an organisation has been successful in securing funding for more than one project, the organisation as a whole will be entered into the People’s Projects vote, with reference to the delivery of both projects. This is to ensure fairness among all groups.
Two projects that are recipients of funding for 2023, Childs Hill Primary School and Claremont Primary School, are part of the same organisation – the Childs Hill and Claremont Federation. Therefore the Federation as a whole has been entered into the ‘People’s Projects’ vote.
Therefore, whilst there are 9 recipients of funding from the Brent Cross Town Community Fund 2023, a total of eight organisations or initiatives are part of the People’s Projects vote.
