The interiors of the both The Ashbee and The Delamarre apartment buildings at Brent Cross Town have been thoughtfully crafted by the leading architects at Woods Bagot. Drawing on decades of experience and lots of local influences, they have created homes and amenities that are sure to make every day a joy. Last week we took a look inside The Delamarre, today let’s head inside The Ashbee…
Living at Brent Cross Town: Inside The Ashbee

The Ashbee
The Ashbee includes a series of six maisonettes with their own ground floor entrances, positioned to face onto newly opened Claremont Park, in addition to a series of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom lateral apartments. With complete access to the amenities available on-site, those living at The Ashbee can enjoy the relaxed residents’ lobby lounge. This welcoming space combines seating areas and reading nooks, all designed to benefit from views of Claremont Park. A rich and warm palette creates inviting and inclusive spaces.
A large, light grey oak wall of joinery to the rear of reception unifies the spaces. Large, warm terracotta tiles run throughout and flow into the corridor beyond, and a deep rich green wall adjacent to the entrance houses residents’ post and parcel boxes, allowing for convenient collection when passing by towards the lifts beyond.

There is a bookable meeting room with sliding glazed Crittall screens, and a kitchenette that forms part of the larger residents’ lounge space, offering an additional workspace. This room can be opened to the main space when not in use. The screening room and bar, which is also available to book, offers flexible seating, a kitchenette, a bar area and a coat store, with close access to WCs. It has been designed to feel relaxed and playful with a darker, moodier palette.
The interiors are the result of a contemporary and refined design approach, enhanced by the light palette of natural finishes and accessories. The internal spaces have been designed to sit comfortably alongside the refined yet timeless architecture of the building.
The architects have taken inspiration from the core design principles of the Arts & Crafts movement, which is central to the surrounding Hampstead Garden Suburb. Similarly to the features of The Delamarre’s kitchens, a bespoke open shelving unit in matching green tone at the end of the kitchens has been included.

All kitchen taps are hot water taps, and bathrooms and shower rooms include handcrafted, grey gloss tiles at a high level, to reflect light. Matt stone-look tiles lower down provide contrast. Soft pink bathroom cabinets with deeper toned brighter pink interior help to add an element of surprise. Functional work-from-home spaces have been included to offer maximum flexibility for those who want the option to work from where they live. The Ashbee’s studio apartments include bespoke full-height joinery between the lounge and bedroom spaces, which serves as a room divider, as well as a small dressing table or desk.
