Festive Markets, Vintage Fairs, and winter fun in North London

There’s always something to do in North West London, and you can be sure that November and December weekends are chock full of festive fetes, craft markets and brilliant markets.

Craft Fairs
Whether you’re looking for an unusual gift, want to buy some new homewares and support local artisans at the same time, or just fancy a browse, there are several great craft fairs happening in the neighbourhood between now and Christmas. 

East Finchley Winter Market
36 local artisan makers and crafters including ceramics, hand-blown glass, candles, textiles, prints, jewellery, accessories, knitwear, homewares and board games will be selling their wares at Bottles N jars in East Finchley, and there’ll also be fantastic wines to taste.

Pramstead’s Mumpreneur Christmas Market and Mingle
Pramstead, the knowledgeable website for parents in North London, is holding a local female entrepreneurs market. There’ll be  food, bubbles and mulled wine, activities for kids, and a host of local small businesses selling their wares and offering their services.

Frost Fair
Run by the Finchley Women’s Institute, this winter fair is held in the St Stephens’s house and gardens and promises over 30 stalls selling local honey, handmade gifts, jewellelry and art and crafts.

Muswell Hill Winter Makers Fair
This one is run by the Muswell Hill Creatives. Think local artisans selling their hand made jewellery, accessories, clothing, candles, homewears and art.

CurateD Holly Lodge Christmas Fair
Bringing together select, ethical, independent brands including fashion, textiles, pottery, prints, handbags, and cakes to Holly Lodge Community Centre in Highgate.

Scores of makers and designers will be meeting at Salusbury Rooms in Queens Park to sell their wares

A little bit of everything
There are plenty of Christmas fairs that are good all-rounders if you just want to potter around the stalls, soak up the Christmas atmosphere and eat a mince pie or three.

Christmas Tree Festival
All Saints Church is starting Christmas right with 20 trees, a grand raffle, children’s activities, mulled wine and hot chocolate and local choirs singing the Christmas classics.

Edgeware Christmas Pop-up Fair
The lovely Sangham Centre in Burnt Oak is holding an indoor market to celebrate the festive season, with local traders, festive food and free face painting for kids (from 2-5pm)

Primrose Hill Christmas Festival
Live music, a Christmas Choir, street food, fairground rides and craft stalls – the Primrose Hill Christmas festival has it all! There’s even a dog show, with all money raised going to support local food banks.

Our Yard at Clitterhouse Farm’s first festive fair
Brent Cross Town’s local farm, Clitterhouse Yard has yet to announce details of its first festive fair, but they’ve promised a band and dancing!

Pop-up Vintage is taking over Hampstead Town Hall with three floors of traders selling fashion, jewellery, homeware collectables and more.

Salusbury Sunday Market
Salusbury Sunday Market is a regular event that brings together independent makers, local designers and vintage stalls, and this year they’re holding two special markets for the festive season.

There are several culturally specific markets happening over the next few weeks. Go for the gift-buying opportunities, stay for the fabulous food!

The Afro Carribean Christmas Craft Fair
This is a fun packed day for all the family with great entertainment and the opportunity to buy amazing gifts and treats from local Caribbean vendors. Money raised will go to support projects in Jamaica.

Wembley market
This two-day event offers face painting, children’s rides and Christmas karaoke, plus choral performances and festive food and drink.
