 (Brent Cross Town)
Get to know North London through the eyes of locals we love. From chefs and DJ’s to fitness and fashion professionals, our insiders share their favourite spots in the capital’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.

Katy Ellis is a music artist manager at Anglo Management. She has lived in North London for more than 25 years.

It just feels like home, the minute I come off the north circular or off the tube at Finsbury Park I always feel at ease

I’m Katy Ellis and I’ve worked in music all my life — currently, and for the last 20 years, at Anglo Management, working with a diverse roster of artists. I was born within the sound of the Bow bells, but resided in North London with my Mum and Dad until they moved to Brighton when I was eight years old. After I finished university in Birmingham, it wasn’t long before I was back in North London, and I have lived here ever since — more than 25 years!

Here are some of my favourite local spots:

1. Allora Hall Park Road Crouch End

Finally, a lovely little work and social space in Crouch End! It only opened this summer and the best thing is that it has nice drinks — lovely cocktails.

This market happens every Sunday, and once a month at Campsbourne School on Nightingale Lane. I love the spelt cinnamon buns, sugar and dairy cakes and amazing vegetables. A great Sunday morning outing.
