Make the most of the break from school and join us this April for a series of fun, free events for kids in Claremont Park.

All workshops are free, drop-in and run on a first come first serve basis. Discover the full timetable and learn more about the events below.

While you’re here why not take part in our Spring Nature Trail? Pick up your free worksheet from the Visitor Pavilion and find out how much you know about local wildlife. When you’re done, head back to the Visitor Pavilion to collect your reward.

Arts and Crafts Workshops 

Our arts and crafts workshops, run by Anna van der Poorten and Holly Burrows, will be held in the cabin in Claremont Park on 5th-8th April and 12th14th from 11.30am-1.30pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm.

Anna Van der Poorten is an artist who has worked with communities on carnivals, parades and installations.   She recently created several large-scale collaborative sculptures with a focus on urban nature. Find out more on her website or follow her on Instagram @annaheartsart1

Basketball Skills Workshops

Local heroes Brent Bulls will teach basketball skills at the ball court at the top of Claremont Park on Saturday 6th April and Saturday 13th April from 2pm-4pm.

Brent Bulls was founded in 2020 and provides programmes in Brent for all ages and abilities. The club provides a positive environment where participants can develop fitness, teamwork, and leadership skills. Find out more on their website or follow them on Instagram @brentbulls

‘Beat the Goalie’ Football Sessions

Brent Cross Football Academy will be holding kids ‘beat the goalie’ sessions in Claremont Park from Tuesday 9th-Thursday 11th April from 2-4pm. Whether you’re a total beginner or a football fanatic, come down, have fun and hone your skills.

Brent Cross Football Academy is an FA-affiliated community football club that trains kids from 3-14 and takes a holistic approach to training, tailoring sessions to meet the physical, social, technical and psychological needs of every child.
